Two young Navy guys doing the jitterbug in front of their peers. The original clip was rather short, so this has been manipulated it to make it longer. Their large deck audience seems to be enjoying the light-footed seamen. The music is Emery Deutsch’s Orchestra playing “Formal Night In Harlem.”
Want more from dancing than just watching strobe lights bounce off a sea of bare chests in a club? Swing Out Sydney is the answer.
It may come as a surprise to the many who regularly hit the dance floors and tiles of Sydney’s gay bars and nightclubs, but Australia’s LGBT capital suffers from a dearth of options for people looking to improve their foot shuffling skills in an environment friendly to same-sex couples. For some, such a situation has left them with a huge urge to toe-tap but nowhere safe to do it. However, that’s all set to change with the launch of weekly same-sex-friendly swing dance classes at Erskineville’s Imperial Hotel.
